Mrs. William Evans

  Mrs. Myrtle Bloomfield Evans,
62, of 5544 Wilson Ave., Scioto-
ville, died at 10:15 p.m. Wednes-
day at Mercy Hospital.              
 Mrs. Evans had suffered a se-
verely injured back in a fall Fri-  
patient at the hospital since that  
time. She apparently was im-     
proving and in good spirits when
relatives were at her bedside      
Wednesday night. The final sum-
mons came suddenly.                
Born April 22, 1899, in Lewis
County, Ky., she was a daughter
of William and Leona Angel        
Bloomfield. She was married       
Feb. 19, 1916, to William Roscoe
Evans.                                       
Surviving are the husband,     
William; four daughters, Mrs.       
Helen Strickland of Sciotoville Rt.
4, Mrs. Alma Payton, 520 Bloom 
St., Sciotoville, Mrs. Peggy White-
house of Minford Rt. 2, Mrs. Pa- 
tricia Allard of Wheelersburg Rt.  
2, two sons, Clarence of Wheel-  
ersburg Rt. 2, David of Scioto-    
ville; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha    
Bradford, 1651 11th St., Mrs.    
Clara Troyer of Ashland, Ky.,    
Mrs. Loula Evans of Maysville,  
Ky.; a half-brother, A. C. Angel  
of South Shore and 18 grandchil-
dren.                                         
Mrs. Evans was preceded in
death by her parents and a daugh-
ter.                                           
Funeral services are to be at
2 p.m. Saturday at Berean Bap-  
tist Church with Rev. Paul Hat-  
macher officiating. Burial is to    
be in Memorial Burial Park un-   
der direction of Gill Funeral         
Home.                                       
Friends may call at the funeral
home after 7 tonight.
