George Cleveland Jenkins

George Cleveland Jenkins, 69, a lifelong resident
of the Sciotoville-Minford area, passed away at 3 a.m.
today at his home on Lucasville Rt.4 near Minford.   
A general contractor and farmer, Mr. Jenkins was
born July 31, 1884, a son of Claudious and Effie      
Barnett Jenkins. He was united in marriage 49 years  
ago to Lula Boren, who survives. Mr. Jenkins was    
a member of the Sciotoville Christian Church.           
Surviving are the wife; three sons, Claudious F.  
of Lucasville Rt.2, Russell H. 850 Eunice Ave.,         
Sciotoville, and Wilbur H. a city fireman, 5809          
Glenn Ave., Sciotoville; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth   
May Frazee of Stockdale, and twins, Mrs. Isadora    
Brumfield of Anderson, Ind. and Mrs. Ellora Clark,  
1409 Mound St.; three brothers, Henry and Tracy    
Jenkins and Oscar Tad, all of Bonser Run; three       
sisters, Mrs. Lillie Allard of Ira Ave., Sciotoville,       
Mrs. Nannie Jenkins, Harrison Ave., Sciotoville; and 
Mrs. Lizzie Gammon, auburn Ave., Sciotoville; 26    
grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.                
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m.       
Thursday at Sciotoville Christian Church, Rev. Curt  
Hess officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park       
Cemetery under the direction of Gill Funeral Home.  
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 tonight.
