MRS. LUCINDA JENKINS


Mrs. Lucinda Jenkins, an aged resident of the   
Kettles settlement near Gepharts Station, died at    
1:00 this morning, at the home of her son, Claude    
Jenkins who lives on Bonsers Run, back of            
Sciotoville.                                                           
Death was due to indigestion, from which the   
deceased had been suffering for a short time. Mrs.  
Jenkins was born Nov. 12, 1821 and was 84 years  
19 days old. She is survived by three sons:              
Stimmel of Sciotoville, and Kendall and George both
of whom live near the old homestead in the Kettles
settlement. and two daughters: Mrs. Henry Turner    
and Belle, unmarried, both of whom lived with their
mother. A husband, Joseph Jenkins, and four sons:   
John, Levi, Carlos, and Horace preceded her to the   
grave. Death came to Mrs. Jenkins while on a visit to
the home of her son, Claudius, having arrived there  
last Sunday.                                                           
    The funeral services will be held Friday morning at
10:00 at the old homestead and will be in charge of   
Rev. Brockman of this city. Interment will be made  
in the family graveyard.
