Mrs. Sarah Jane Stiles
Mrs. Sarah
Jane Stiles, 70, of 5506 Harrison
avenue, Sciotoville, died at
11:15 p.m. Sunday
at her home, after an illness
of the last two
years of a stomach and heart
aliment. She had
been bedfast for six
weeks.
Mrs. Stiles was born Nov. 11, 1869,
at
Sciotoville, a daughter of Andrew
and Hulda
Rowley Barnett, she had lived in
Scioto
County all her life and was a
life long member
of the Christian church. She was
married to
J. W. Stiles on Nov. 11. 1889, and
he died
March 7,
1928.
Surviving are three children, Mrs.
Emma
Pyles of Bonser avenue, Mrs.
Edgar Jones
of Arion and
Calvin A. Stiles of Sciotoville.
She also
leaves two sisters and two brothers,
Mrs.
Katherine Bender, James Barnett of
Sciotoville, Mrs. Florence
Anderson of California
and William Barnett of
Swauger Valley, and
11 grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.
Funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Sciotoville
Christian Church,
with Rev. Crayton S. Brooks
in charge. Burial
will be in Wheelersburg cemetery,
under the
direction of Windel-Howland.
The body will
be taken Tuesday to the home of a
sister, Mrs.
Bender, 5532 Harrison
avenue.
